BGS YOGA SANGAMA AND 11TH INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION

BGS and SJB Group of Institutions and Hospitals celebrated  the  BGS YOGA SANGAMA and 11th INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY programme  on21st June 2025.It was an eventful and magnificent morning as over 3000 participants from all BGS and SJB group of Institutions across Bangalore gathered to perform yoga at the BGS & SJB Cricket ground, BGS Health & education city, Uttarhalli road, Bangalore. This grand event was planned and overlooked by  the Dean and Principal BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr M. E Mohan.

The International Yoga day celebration was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and  offering floral tribute to His Divine Soul, Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr.Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji by His Holiness agadguru Sri Sri SriDr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji, Revered Sri SriPrakashnatha Swamiji and our guests. 

The Yoga session commenced with OM chanting.

The session concluded with the Aashirvachana and shloka chanting by Sri Sri Sri Dr Nirmalanadanatha Maha Swamiji.

The program started at around 8:00 am & lasted for an hour & a half. The event was conducted at the  BGS-SJB-Cricket Grounds in a sprawling green lawn open space of 5 acres. with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” — a powerful reminder, that the well-being of humanity, is deeply connected to the health of our planet.

Government of Karnataka, Department of Ayush, has initiated Yoga Dhanush, symbolizing strength and direction, aims to empower individuals with tools of resilience and discipline through yoga.

 Harit Yoga encourages us to align our practice with nature, fostering harmony with the environment, through mindful and eco-friendly living.

Together, these initiatives highlight yoga’s timeless wisdom — nurturing personal health while inspiring collective responsibility for a greener, healthier Earth.

To draw the curtains, the National Anthem was played which instilled a sense of National Pride in all of the participants. Overall, the programme concluded on a positive note, with many participants feeling enthused and wanting to practice Yoga to better their health and lifestyle.
