GUEST LECTURE MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS IN INFECTIOUS DISEASES

On 25-05-2022, the Department of Microbiology, BGS GIMS conducted a Guest Lecture on the topic “MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS IN INFECTIOUS DISEASES”, under the guidance and motivation of the Dean, Dr. M. E. Mohan. This Guest Lecture was conducted in collaboration MedGenome Labs.

 The Guest Speaker was Dr.R.Sukanya  MBBS,MD(Microbiology),PGDID(University of South Wales) CIC(CBIC,USA) The Guest Speaker was introduced by Dr. Ragini. Dr. Sukanya spoke about New Genome Sequencing, Spit SEQ and multiplex RT PCR based test panels. It was a very informative and relevant talk.  It was attended by faculty and postgraduate students. There was good interaction between the audience and speakers regarding the indications and applications of molecular diagnostics in infectious diseases. Dr. Ramalakshmi concluded the programme by giving the Vote of Thanks.
