BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences celebrated its THIRD CONVOCATION DAY
BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences celebrated its THIRD CONVOCATION DAY on 29-04-2022 at the BGS auditorium situated in a sprawling green campus. This programmed was graced by:

- Revered Sri Sri Dr. Prakashnatha Swamiji, Managing Director, BGS and SJB Group of Institutions,
- Dr. Sudhakar K, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, Government of Karnataka.
- Dr. Shantaram M Shetty, Pro – Chancellor, NITTE University
- Dr. Pratima Murthy, Director of NIMHANS, Bangalore

The programme was witnessed by a majestic audience consisting of the Principals of BGS and SJB Group of Institutions, members of the press and media, Senate and Syndicate members of RGUHS, trustees, parents, HODs of various departments faculty members and students. The introduction was done by Dr.Ragini. The programme began with invoking the Almighty’s blessings with an invocation song by Vibha and group. Floral tributes and prayers were offered by all the dignitaries to His Divine Soul, Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, and then they proceeded to the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The Dean, Dr. M.E. Mohan extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and guests. The Dean highlighted the various achievements of BGS GIMS in the field of academics, health care, faculty development programme and research. He was happy to share that a good number of students that have graduated from BGS GIMS have secured post-graduate seats in prestigious institutions across India and worldwide.
The Hippocratic oath was delivered to the graduating interns by Dr. Pratima Murthy, Director of NIMHANS, Bangalore. The dignitaries awarded the interns their MBBS degrees followed by honouring the student toppers in various subjects, which is as follows: topper in General Medicine, Paediatrics and ENT Dr. Anagha CB, topper in General Surgery Dr. Rohana AR, topper in OBG Dr. Rashmi R, topper in Community Medicine, Pathology and Microbiology Dr. Nida Simran, topper in Ophthalmology and Forensic Medicine Dr.Rakshita SU and topper in Pharmacology Dr.Saborni Ganguly. Dr.Anagha CB, bagged the Best Outgoing Student Award . Dr.Anagha CB and Dr.Ritu Nathwani shared their student experiences with the audience. The Chief Guest Dr. Sudhakar K, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, Government of Karnataka addressed the gathering. The Guests of Honour Dr. Shantaram M Shetty and Dr. Pratima Murthy addressed the gathering. Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji blessed the gathering with his Aashirvachana. Dr.Bhargavi delivered the Vote of Thanks and concluded the programme.
