Breast feeding week – Awareness -2024
The annual breast feeding week ( 1st -7th Aug) was celebrated at BGS GIMS hospital from the department of paediatrics and department of OBG on 5th Aug 2024.
The programme began with invocation to lord almighty and blessings of shri shri shri Balagangadhranatha swamiji, shri shri shri Nirmalandamahaswamiji and shri shri Prakashnatha swamiji .
Dr. Ramesh M HOD department of paediatrics highlighted the importance of breast feeding and this year’s theme “Closing the gap -breast feeding support for all ‘
The gathering was graced by deputy MS Dr. Nischal, Dr. Raju (HOD.Dept.of Ortho) & Dr. Om Prakash (AO), Dr. Rekha ( HOD ,OBG)
Interns enacted a wonderful skit to the public audience, young mothers and pregnant ladies on the importance of Breast feeding .
It was followed by an equally powerful performance by the PG Students of paediatrics and OBG.
Snacks were distributed to all the audiences.
The programme got appreciation from the pregnant, postpartum and all the audiences.
