Objective of the ProgramThe aim was to create awareness about the importance of eye donation. Donated eyed can be used to restore vision in individuals with corneal blindness

Brief report about the ProgramUnder the able guidance and motivation of the Dean and Principal of Dr. M E Mohan, BGSGIMS . Eye Donation fortnight was successfully observed in BGSGIMS from August 25th to September 8th by the departments of Ophthalmology    On account of this a poster competition was conducted among 3rd year undergraduate students. Prize distribution was done to the winners. Medical students performed a skit about the importance of eye donation in the reception area of the hospital for patient awareness. Corneal blindness can be used with a successful eye transplant. Eye donation is a noble act that can give sight to two people.  This programme was well appreciated by everyone.
