Graduation Day 2025 – on 17th April 2025

BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences celebrated its CONVOCATION DAY 2025 of its  2nd BATCH of POSTGRADUATES and 6TH MBBS BATCH of UNDERGRADUATES at the BGS Auditorium on 17th April 2025.

The following dignitaries graced the Convocation Day 2025 programme:

The programme began with an Introduction to the CONVOCATION DAY 2025 by Dr.Ragini Ananth Kashid. This was followed by playing the Naadageethe.   After the Invocation Song, the programme was inaugurated by offering floral tribute to His Divine Soul, Padmabhushana Dr.Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji by all the dignitaries. This was followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. Dr.M.E.Mohan, Dean cum Principal of  BGS GIMS delivered the welcome address, Dr.M.E.Mohan  highlighted the  various achievements of BGS GIMS over the last eleven glorious years of service, in the field of medical education and healthcare. Dr. Bhagavan B.C,Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of RGUHS delivered the Hippocratic oath to the graduating doctors. The following dignitaries from RGUHS were welcomed and felicitated: Dr.Madhusudhan, Syndicate Member, Dr.Mahendra, Senate Member, Dr.Kiran, Senate Member, Dr.Gundu Rao, Former Senate and Syndicate Member, Dr.Venkatagiri, Former Senate and Syndicate Member and Dr.Nandeesh, Syndicate Member and Dr.Srinivasan Velu, Senate Member of RGUHS.

The MBBS degree was conferred to the graduating doctors by Jagadguru Sri SriSri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji, Revered Sri Sri Dr. Prakashnatha Swamiji,Zinda Shaheed Shri Maninderjeet Singh Bitta, Shri Dr.K.Sudhakar, Shri S.R. Mahesh and Shri Abhay Kumar Jain.

The following Undergraduate students who topped, in various subjects were honoured.

  1. Dr. Jeevan R Reddy topper in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  2. Dr. Shreshta A topper in OTORHINO-LARYNGOLOGY
  3. Dr. Sathwik V topper in Community Medicine
  4. Dr. Tanusha S  and Dr. Venkatesh toppers in Forensic Medicine
  5. Dr. Lavanya B S : University First Rank  and topper in Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Paediatrics and General Surgery

Best Outgoing Student of the college was awarded to Dr. Lavanya B S. She holds the University First rank. She had secured University 3rd rank in her second year MBBS. She had secured University 4th rank in third year MBBS and University 3rd rank in fourth year MBBS.

The following Post graduate students who secured RGUHS University rank, in various subjects were honoured.

  1. Dr.Dhanush S.M. secured the 3rd rank in M.S. Orthopaedics
  2. Dr.Sujay Umesh Bani secured the 5th rank in M.D.Radiodiagnosis
  3. Dr.Avishek K. R secured the 9th rank in M.S. Oto-Rhino-Laryngology.

The Best Outgoing Student Dr. Lavanya B S and graduating intern Dr. Abhinav P got an opportunity to share their experiences of graduating as doctors in BGS GIMS.This was followed by Dr. Bhagavan BC addressingthe graduating doctors.Later, Zinda Shaheed Shri Maninderjeet Singh Bitta andShri Dr.K.Sudhakar addressed the young doctors. His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha MahaSwamiji blessed the audience with his Ashirvachana. The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks and National Anthem. The programme was well received, appreciated and applauded by the dignitaries, parents and graduating interns.
