MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
MBBS the Under Graduate Course offered at BGSGIMS is recognised by National Medical Commission of India and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This programme covers all Preclinical, Paraclinical and Clinical disciplines as mandated by the NMC guidelines..
Duration: 4.5 years + 1 year of compulsory rotating internship.
Intake: 150 Seats per year
Eligibility Criteria for admission
Indian Nationals category:
- Candidate should have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam and should have obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, chemistry and biology (taken together) from a recognized board.
- The Candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
- Candidates are advised to check NEET 2020 brochure for final eligibility criteria.
Foreign nationals/ Non-Resident Indian category:
- Candidate should have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam and should have obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, chemistry and biology (taken together) from a recognized board.
- The Candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
- Should produce the following documents:
- No Objection Certificate from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
- An eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
- Student Visa
- Residential Certificate
Admission Procedure
All seats, including NRI/ Management quota are selected based on the rank obtained in the National Eligiblity-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted on an all India basis by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The seats are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority( kea.kar.nic.in ).
