Objective of the Program	Theme 2024:20 years of celebrating giving, Thank You Blood Donors. Blood Donation Costs You Nothing, but it can Mean the world to someone in Need. Make awareness about the blood and its benefits.Hands on experience for interns and students on collection of the blood units.
Brief   Report   about the Program	Under the able guidance of our beloved Dean/ Principal Dr. M.E.Mohan     and     by     constant           Support of Medical Superintendent Dr. Srikanth Kulkarni, the Department of Pathology organized World Blood Donor’s day on 14th June 2024 in our Blood Bank, BGSGIMS Hospital. This helps in strengthen social ties and build a supportive community. 53 units of the blood has been donated by the students and staffs, the collected blood are separated to blood components and stored in our blood bank and used for the patients of our hospital. While addressing the gathering, the Dean brought the awareness in them about shortage of blood and why we must donate blood every year, to help the persons requiring blood. It is as such a great contribution to the society and people living in it.
