| CME outcome | In this program a total of 250 delegates (125 faculty and 125 Post graduate students) and 150 MBBS students were able to learn from experts talking on “ Pacing Through Cardiology an Expert’s Insight on Diagnosis and Management”. The gained knowledge is shared among the students, and it will end up in a synergic effect and continuous improvement. |

| Brief Report about the Program |
| A Continued medical education program was organised by the Department of General Medicine on 10-09-2024 at Auditorium, fourth floor in the College building at BGSGIMS medical college, Bengaluru. The program was begun auspiciously by an invocation song and lamp lighting ceremony followed by welcome address by Dr. Mithun Somaiah C S, HOD, Dept. of General medicine and inaugural address by Dr. M E Mohan, Dean/Principal, BGSGIMS and Vote of thanks by Dr Ravishankar M S, Professor, Dept General Medicine. An ECG book compiled by faculty members of BGSGIMS medicine department which helps the students in interpreting ECG in an easy manner was released by the dignitaries and was issued to all the delegates, PG and UG students. Scientific session included talks on various topics in cardiology by eminent speakers in the field of cardiology namely Recent trends in management of Acute coronary syndrome by Dr Ravindranath Reddy, Approach to Congenital heart disease by Dr. Jayaranganth, Pulmonary embolism by Dr. Kishore K S, Management of Narrow QRS tachycardia and Atrial fibrillation by Dr Deepak Padmanabhan, Management and recent updates on heart failure by Dr Vikranth Veeranna Program also included a clinical case discussion on approach to multi-valvular heart disease by Dr Prabhavathi to benefit the post graduate and undergraduate students on the clinical aspects of cardiology. A Quiz for post graduate students was also organised to benefit and encourage the post graduate students to attain knowledge in the field of cardiology. This academic program benefitted around 125 faculty members of various medical colleges, 125 Post graduate students of various medical colleges and also about 150 final year MBBS students of BGSGIMS medical college. |
