Objective of the ProgramTo understand retinal changes in various systemic diseases
CME outcomeIn this program about 150 faculty are able to get exposed to retinal changes in various systemic diseases. The gained knowledge will be transfer to the current students and it is end up with synergic effect.

Brief report about the ProgramUnder the able guidance and motivation of the Dean and Principal of Dr. M E Mohan, BGSGIMS .The departments of Ophthalmology   successfully conducted a CME – Retina – A Mirror of Systemic Health” on 07/08/2024 CME Retina a mirror of systemic health conducted in August 2024. The CME included presentation on Diabetic retinopathy, Hypertensive Retinopathy, Retinopathy of prematurity, inflammation & infections of the eye. Panel discussion with various other departments was comprehensive and easy to follow. Appreciated the emphasis on the importance of early detection and treatment. The speakers effectively explained the link between systemic diseases & Ocular manifestation.  The uses of images and diagrams helped illustrate the progression of the diseases the information on the latest advancement screening guidelines & treatment options was useful. The discussion on risk factors & prevention strategies particularly helpful. Overall the CME was informative & engaging with great selection of speakers and also raised awareness about various systemic disease affecting the eye.
