Brief report about the Program | Under the able guidance and motivation of the Dr. M E Mohan, Dean, BGSGIMS. The Department of Anaesthsiology, BGSGIMS successfully completed the CME – USG Guided Blocks – An Update 2024 The CME was headed by the Workshop Director Dr Azam Danish, Consultant Anaesthesiologist, Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bangalore. An attempt to enlighten the delegates on all the Peripheral Nerve Blocks was made through this venture. An inauguration ceremony was held at mini auditorium and all the faculties were felicitated. Post inauguration, CME was commenced with the basics of ultrasound practices and techniques by Dr Azam Danish. He quoted some of his experiences which helped the delegates to overcome the challenges with confidence during the day-to-day clinical practices. A mass live demonstration was held by the distinguished faculties, Dr Azam Danish, Dr. T A Patil, Dr Nader Abbas Malvia, Dr Sudhakar Koppad, Dr Yoganarasimha N, Dr Lokesh, Dr Anil Kumar, Dr Smriti Jha, Dr Qudsia Munawari and Dr Renuka on different peripheral nerve blocks. The session included comprehensive discussion on the anatomy and indications of various nerve blocks, and also to observe the nuances of each block. An appetizing lunch was organized for all the delegates which was followed by the hands-on workshop. This was held at BGS Skills Lab on volunteers and was divided into 8 stations. The delegates had an opportunity to practice on the volunteers under expert guidance. The workshop encouraged questions and interactive discussions, which created an open environment for learning. It fostered confidence in performing nerve blocks safely and effectively. |
