World Environment Day Undergraduate Quiz 2025 Biowise 2025- State-Level UG Quiz on Biomedical waste Management , Conducted by Department of Community Medicine
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, State level quiz for undergraduate students was organised by Department of Community Medicine, MS Ramaiah Medical College in association with Karnataka Association of Community Health. The theme for world environment day 2025 is “Smart waste, safe planet: Biomedical waste Awareness for future Doctors”. The preliminary round of the Quiz competition was conducted by Department of Community Medicine, BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences at the College building on 03/06/2025; for which 7 teams from 2nd year to final year of undergraduate had registered. The event was conducted with the support of the Management BGS GIMS, Dr. M E Mohan, Dean and Principal and Dr. Jayashree S Seeri , Hod Dept. of Community Medicine.
A total of 143 teams from various Medical Colleges across Karnataka had participated in the preliminary round. Our 2 teams – Mr. Amrit Mishra and Ms. Chetna singh; Ms. Madhushree K R and Ms. Priya B R from 3rd year undergraduate students got selected from BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences for the final round. The final round was held on 06/06/2025 at MS Ramaiah Medical College, for which only top 8 teams were selected. In the final round, Mr. Amrit Mishra and Ms. Chetna singh had secured 2nd place and Ms. Madhushree K R and Ms. Priya B R had secured 3rd place in the final quiz completion, out of the 8 teams. Dr. Ashwini G S, Assistant Professor, Dept of Community Medicine was the Nodal Faculty for the conduct of Preliminary quiz along with Dr. Zeen Lasvy Oliveira, Senior Resident.
